Several weeks after the awaking of the Autobots from their four million year slumber, the Autobot command element evaluates their current potion and resources. Debate occurs over a strategy plan on the location best suited for monitoring Decepticon activity at their undersea base.
The planning meeting is interrupted with ringing of alarms and a fight breaks out at a rocky forest preserve where Decepticons were mining for high quality metal ore.
New outline notes, but continues on from this point.
19-year-old Andrea Tairenes works in the Technological Tracking Research Department of her family’s company, Technological Advanced Industries or the TAI corporation. She first comes to know the Autobots when she is caught in the middle of a battle in the Oregon wilderness while field testing new surveying equipment. After the battle, she returns to the Ark with the Autobots, because her own vehicle sustained damage in the attack. There she meets Autobot Engineer, Wheeljack, and a good friendship begins.
From that point on, Andrea makes regular visits to the Autobot base and proves to have a knack for quickly figuring out Autobot technology and helps around the Ark with repairs. On one such visit, the Decepticons attack and battle ensues for several hours. After the Decepticons retreat, she finds her jeep literally a pancake having been crushed when Skywarp teleported and immediately blasted out of the air thus landing on top of said jeep. Andrea simply stands staring in shock and soon throws a fit about of all the places a Decepticon’s aft had to land… Anyway, Wheeljack takes her home once she settled down.
Meanwhile, Optimus and Prowl are discussing the battle’s outcome and Optimus praises Prowl’s efforts of sneaking up behind the Decepticon lines and ambushing them. Prowl faces Prime confused stating it was not his unit that unleashed a heavy assault on the surprised Decepticons. His battle computer scrambles through all the known data of the battle, but comes up fruitless. Both he and Prime decide to let the matter rest for now.
Several days later, Wheeljack and a few other Autobots pay Andrea a visit at her brother’s body shop. The Autobot Engineer cringes at the sight of her still flatten all-terrain jeep and asks Andrea how it is coming in recovering data from her laptop that was in the backseat at the time of the incident. She states no such luck and so she’ll have to redo six months of work on her project. Wheeljack offers to help her catch up at his lab. Andrea gratefully accepts, thinking this will be one project safe to do with Wheeljack. He attentively asks if she’ll need rides to and from the Ark. She says thank you, but she does have a new vehicle on lend from her brother. Wheeljack notices her eyes rolling and asks if something is wrong. She points to the back of the shop to a yellow lambo her brother is letting her use. Wheeljack wonders what is wrong with that since most people would jump at the chance to drive one.
Andrea sighs and states she doesn’t like flashy cars, because they are high maintenance and make a fuss when there is just the slightest thing wrong. Wheeljack chuckles and says she better not let Sunstreaker hear that. Andrea just shrugs and goes over to the parked lambo and leans against the hood. She says this one is particularly bad and has a mind of its own. Wheeljack laughs and says that he and other should be returning to the Ark. Andrea waves goodbye as they transform and roll out. Behind her a voice rings out sarcastically, “Very funny…” Andrea’s laugh echoes throughout the shop.
Next time Andrea is riding Wheeljack as a convoy of Autobots travel to a nearby Airfield for a demonstration of a joint project. The two are talking contently when Andrea receives a call on her cell phone. She is momentarily startled when she first speaks to the caller. She refers to him as “Dee” and tells him were she and is and is perfectly safe where she is. She ends the call yelling that he’s not her father and can’t tell her what to do. She apologizes to Wheeljack about that. Concerned he asks what’s wrong. Andrea sighs saying her brother just worries whenever she’s with the Autobots. Confused, he says he didn’t know she had a brother named “Dee”. Andrea shakes her head no explaining he wasn’t her real brother rather a close friend she knew her whole life.
Fast forward…
After a battle that occurred near the airstrip, a wounded Jazz on a stretcher stops Sunstreaker as he walks and thanks him for blasting Starscream before the seeker finished him off. Sunstreaker gives Jazz a hard look and says he doesn’t know what the slag Jazz is talking about. Jazz states he was fairly certain he saw Sunstreaker firing from the Northern ridge by the forest. The yellow lambo shakes his head no and say he was never on the northern ridge or by the woods.
Optimus and Prowl overhear the conversation and exchange concerned and confused looks.
Later that night the command element assembles in a little-used conference room. Optimus Prime brings the officers, Jazz, Ratchet, and Ironhide, up to date on recent activities he and Prowl have been noticing. Jazz is asked if he can recall the figure more clearly. He is visibly frustrated for once, since it all happened so fast. He tells them he simply assumed it was Sunstreaker at the time since the yellow lambo is the biggest dandelion they had. Ironhide offers up the suggestion that this mysterious person is a Decepticon. That idea is mostly dismissed with the thought that the mystery person has possibly attacked the Decepticons twice. The meeting ends with the general agreement that should a confrontation would to occur they were not to fire, but remain cautious until motive could be determined.
Andrea is traveling on US highway 31 on her way to the TAI Corporation. A few miles away from her designation, she spotted a small group of Decepticons in the air heading in the same direction. Seeing them, panic rose in Andrea out of concern for her father, the company CEO, and fellow workers. Alone in her vehicle, she begged out loud, “We need to warn them.” The vehicle responded to her plea, “I’ll do whatever I can, Andrea, you can be sure about that.” Engine revving loudly and picking up speed, Andrea whispered, “Thank you, Diablo.”
Approaching the opposite side of the complex of where the Decepticons had landed, the yellow lambo screeched to a halt; driver-side door swung open. Andrea jumped out as Diablo told her to hurry and warn everyone in the complex, while he went and distracted the Decepticons. Andrea halted from leaving and gripped tightly to Diablo’s door frame.
“Diablo, that’s suicide! You can’t take on Megatron and the three seekers by yourself head on. They’ll kill you!” Andrea cried.
Diablo revved his engine in reply, “What choice do I have, Andrea, someone has to distract them until the Autobots get here. Now hurry and go! We don’t have much time.”
Needing no more motivation, Andrea dashed inside yelling for everyone to evacuate the building; Decepticons were in the vicinity. She ran through the halls of the main building, passing frantic workers. Making a quick turn to the right, Andrea nearly plowed over her father.
He looks at Andrea slightly stunned, “Andrea, we need to leave, Decepticons are out on the tarmac. We must inform the Autobots.”
“They’ve already been alerted; right now the ‘cons should be distracted. What are they after?”
Running side by side down a hall, her father glanced out a set of windows towards a small group of buildings, “they headed toward the facilities housing our experimental fusion generator.”
A thought crossing his mind, the TAI Corporation CEO gave his youngest daughter a sharp look, “Wait, what you meant by ‘distracted’?”
Without a pause she firmly stated, “Diablo is giving us a chance to get to safety before all hell lets loose.” Grabbing a panicking employee, she abruptly turned them in the opposite direction.
Her father released a sigh of relief, “If that’s the case, we should be alright…”
“NO,” Andrea stopped suddenly; extreme anxiety and worry clearly visible on her face as she turned to face her father. “You don’t understand! You haven’t seen what the Decepticons are capable of. In normal circumstances, Diablo may be able to handle himself, but right now he’s hopelessly ou…”
Cut off, the wall behind them blew inwards. Mr. Tairenes grabbed Andrea and pushed her to the floor, shielding her from flying debris…
Landing with an audible crunch, miniature craters appeared beneath the massive pillars that belonged to the conquering Decepticons. At the head of their formation, Megatron scanned the area for the mission target.
Standing to the right of the Decepticon Leader, Starscream crossed his arms and sarcastically addressed his leader, “Well, O Mighty Megatron, were is this SUPPOSED experimental project that we are MOST definitely wasting our time on, when we should be devising plans for destroying the Autobots.”
Starscream involuntarily flinched when Megatron’s cannon-bearing arm moves toward him, but he is surprised when the normally searing pain does not spread over him. Instead, the cannon remained at the Decepticon Leader’s side, but a wicked smile adorned Megatron’s faceplates watching his subordinate’s reaction. Thundercracker and Skywarp stepped back away from the two warily, not wanting to get in the crossfire.
Starscream continues to harass Megatron when the Decepticons are bombarded by someone behind them. They turn around to see a single car charging at them and firing a roof mounted weapon. The car swivels to side missing incoming laser fire and executing a dynamic roll behind a brick building after transforming. The Decepticons are momentarily confused at the ‘out of the blue’ charge from a transformer they didn’t recognized. However, that brief feeling had no affect on their intention to destroy a threat to their mission. The Decepticon seekers took to the air to surround their opponent while Megatron laid down massive laser fire from his fusion cannon, destroying the transformer’s cover and pinning him down till the seekers closed in.
The lone mech made a suicidal dive out from behind his brick shelter and out into the open at an incredible speed, pulling a fast pace combination of alternating car and robot modes in an attempt to return and dodge the Decepticon’s barrage.
