In the husk of an ancient world, a millennium old war prevails. Two adversaries fight to control it. Upon the battlefield they meet, forces clash and collide in endless war, some for the glory of conquest and others for their lives. However to their dismay, one cannot over power the other, but this does not bring rest from strife. The battle continues, bringing suffering and death farther upon those who tread the torn ground or fly through the desolate skies. In the end, only one will rise to be the victor or both will perish.
In the never ending dance of battle and counterstrike, the scars of war took it toll on the world. Their planet laid dying while they fought, blind to the danger. Not until it was nearly too late, did they realize something had to be done or all would be ruined for sure. So, in swiftness and secrecy one side dared to do what the only thing they could do. They sent their bravest and truest soldiers out to search for that which could revive their dying world from eternal darkness. Away they went with no more than a thread of hope, to find the life-giving energy needed to restore their world. Alas, the other side would not be out done.
Instead of saving their world, they would use it to fuel their own goals of destruction and further marred their planet with the suffering of others. A great confrontation occurred in the deep space away from their home. They struggle as never before, but the outcome was the same as every other time. No side could overcome the other, and within the mass of chaos and confusion their great vessels fell from the heavens, crashing into the depths of an unknown world. There these sleeping giants laid, froze in the midst of their battle for countless years. But, not all would remain silent for long.
Untold years later, the earth gave a great heave. A great mountain of fire arose through the air, spewing molten rock from the bowels of the earth. Within the thrashing mountain, the ancient airship shuttered. As it did so, the destructive ones awaken only to continue their reign of terror on the ignorant inhabitants of that young world.
As the dark ones began their ravage campaign on the unspoiled world, the earth gave another great tremble and awoken the strong one. From there he revived his forces and mustered them into action. Again the age old battle was fought only this time on foreign grounds and in strange skies. Considered insignificant and worthless by their oppressors, the natives of the Earth assisted the valiant ones. For the time in the visitor’s history, the tides of war were turning in favor for those of freedom.
The rest of the story continues on, but we all know how it goes. The ancient story of the Autobots versus the Decepticons locked in battle for nine million years. The fall of their great leaders and the emerging of the new: one young and inexperience and the other mad and unpredictable. These are the tales of evil and good, black and white.
Alas, take a moment to consider my attentive listeners, what about those who don’t fall into the colors of black and white, but rather the shades of grey? Where are they in the great tale? What became of the ones that belong to neither side or once belonged, but were outcast or left behind? What did they do, when they had nothing but each other? That story, my friends, is the one you shall hear now. So gather around close -Don’t push- you’ll all hear and listen to my words that so few have ever heard. This is their story…
