Name: Hammerfist aka “Ironfist”
Designation: Autobot
Function: Deacon Security Chief
Motto: “If you’re going to do something slag-headed, you may as well do it right.”
History
Worked and learned under Sentinel Prime long before the Great War began. Hammerfist accepted the position of Security Chief of a smaller city called Deacon located on the Torus State just south Uraya. A griping stiff-necked old gasket, he expects to be listened to when talking. It is not uncommon for him to hit someone upside the head for acting foolish and dishes out a verbal dress down.
During the Decepticon strike on the city, he received a permanent injury to his right leg while evacuating civilians to emergency bunkers. With the city forgotten and in ruins, Hammerfist organized the survivors with help from Drax, the Supervising Research Engineer. Hammerfist often argues with Drax over plans and priorities (Two
Grumpy Old Men). Their arguments were of legendary proportions, but never interfered with the welfare of the civilians.
General leadership was transferred over to Dreadheart when he and his mechs arrived. Hammerfist more of less fell back into his former role of security for the underground haven; monitoring surveillance feeds, while Dreadheart’s forces patrolled and guarded the surface.
His feelings toward the Decepticon Warrior was extremely rocky in the beginning, which was also shared vice versa. However, a mutual respect and trust was developed over time.
Often Dreadheart’s Decepticon warriors would refer to him as “the gimp” due to the fact he walks with a metal rod for a right leg from the knee down since the fall of Deacon.
In the present, Hammerfist is instrumental in coordinating battle maneuvers when the Deacon Battle forces come out into the open to rise against Megatron.
Certain events would reveal that the legendary Autobot, Ironhide, as being a former assistant to him.
Hammerfist also has the reputation of employing rigid and strict policies and operations. He has little patience for pretty problems and will not hesitate to get physical to resolve a problem. His no-nonsense manner and strict enforcement has earned him the nickname “Ironfist” from his subordinates.
